WEST MIFFLIN, PA (August 17, 2006)—The Allegheny County Airport Authority is hosting a spectacular two-day air fair to celebrate the Allegheny County Airport’s 75th year as the premier general aviation airport in Pennsylvania. The Air Fair will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10, 2006 at the Allegheny County Airport in West Mifflin, PA.

As part of the festivities, the Air Fair will feature plane rides and fly-ins and there will be a remarkable collection of vintage and military aircraft on display. There will also be a paper airplane contest, sponsored by Corporate Air, and other activities for children, as well as food, vendors, music and fun for the whole family.

“This region is rich in aviation history and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate this important milestone with the community,” said Kent G. George, Executive Director, Allegheny County Airport Authority.

The Air Fair is expected to be an enormous tourist attraction that draws tens of thousands to the weekend event. This community event is free and open to the public.
