August 11, 2010 TRAFFIC ADVISORY FROM PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
- TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES WHEN PICKING UP ARRIVING PASSENGERS
Pittsburgh, PA (August 11, 2010) – Pittsburgh International Airport’s Landside Roadway Repair Project will cause temporary road closures on the Public Arrivals Ramp overnight Thursday, August 12 to Friday, August 13, the Allegheny County Airport Authority announced. This is the ramp leading to baggage claim.
Beginning at 10:30 pm, Thursday, August 12, to 7:30 am, Friday August 13, motorists should anticipate periodic closures of approximately 12 minutes at for concrete replacement.
Motorists picking up passengers should allow for extra time in arriving at the airport. Use caution and obey the construction speed limit signs when proceeding through the construction zone.
Motorists can avoid some of this road work when picking up passengers by parking in the short term garage. The fee is $1 for the first hour. There are frequently open spots reserved for hourly parking at the front of the garage facing the terminal.
