PITTSBURGH AIRPORT VALET PARKING NOW OPERATING AT PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
PITTSBURGH, PA (August 16, 2006)—There is a new customer service option available for travelers in a hurry to catch a flight out of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh Airport Valet Parking has recently opened for business at Pittsburgh International Airport. Passengers can choose to have valet service park their cars, instead of spending time looking for a parking space or waiting for a shuttle.
When you enter the airport from the Beaver Valley Expressway State Route 60, you can find Pittsburgh Airport Valet Parking by following the airport signs for Valet Parking. It is located next to the rental car return in the bottom level of the Short Term Parking Garage, only a few steps away from the Pittsburgh International Airport Terminal. Drivers can pull up to the valet kiosk and leave their cars with the valet. Within moments you are well on your way to checking in for your flight and heading to your gate.
Valet parking is offered seven days a week, 24-hours a day. No appointment is necessary. Valet parking is patrolled by the Allegheny County Police. Customers are also offered additional services, such as wash, detail and oil change, that can be done while away.
The cost of the valet service is $24.99 for the first day and $19.99 for each additional day. For an additional $99.95, the valet service will detail the inside or the outside of the car. A complete details costs $169.95. Other auxiliary services include an oil change for $38.95, changing the wiper blades for $29.95, a hand wash for $14.95, an automatic wash for $9.95, vacuuming for $9.95 and they will also apply a rain repellant to the front windshield for $9.95.
“The benefit of valet parking is the convenience and the time savings. Frequent business travelers want to get off the plane and into their cars as quickly as possible. There will be no waiting for shuttles or searching for their parking spaces,” explained Kent G. George, Executive Director, Allegheny County Airport Authority.
The arrival of discount airlines to Pittsburgh International Airport, such as Southwest and Jet Blue, has caused an increase demand for parking by local travelers. Valet service is becoming a very popular amenity at many of the nation’s top airports.
“Everybody who’s used it so far has loved it. We’ve already had several repeat customers,” said Chris Pritt, manager, Pittsburgh Airport Valet Parking.
