PENNSYLVANIA AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ANNOUNCED
PITTSBURGH, PA (July 12, 2007) – The Aviation Council of Pennsylvania has announced its 20th Annual Aviation Scholarship Program. The Allegheny County Airport Authority is a member of the Council and is helping to get the word out to residents of southwestern PA.
The primary goal of the scholarship program is to assist applicants in the attainment of their aviation and career goals through education. The program is open to any resident of Pennsylvania interested in a career in aviation.
Awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 and are available in the following categories:
- Aviation Technology
- Aviation Management (Wilfred M. “Wiley” Post Scholarship)
- Professional Pilot (John W. “Reds” Macfarlane Scholarship)
- Professional Pilot (Arnold Palmer Scholarship)
All applicants must be Pennsylvania residents and attend school in Pennsylvania with one exception. Applicants for the Aviation Management Scholarship may attend school outside of Pennsylvania.
