Paul Hoback Named ACAA Director of Maintenance

PAUL HOBACK NAMED ALLEGHENY COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE
PITTSBURGH, PA (December 20, 2010) –The Allegheny County Airport Authority has announced the appointment of Paul L. Hoback, Jr., C.M., as Director of Maintenance. In this job, Paul will direct all operations in field maintenance, facilities maintenance and airline services at Pittsburgh International Airport. These duties include ensuring the quality of the airfield and all Airport Authority buildings including the Landside and Airside Terminals. The Maintenance Department employs 276 employees.
Hoback, who has been with the Airport Authority for 10 years, has served as the Manager, Maintenance Administration and Planning, for the past two years and as a Project Manager (Mechanical) in the Engineering/Construction Department for the previous eight years.
“Over the past two years Paul has gained valuable experience in the Maintenance Department, and, combined with his engineering background is extremely qualified for this important position,” said Stephanie Saracco, Chief Operating Officer. “Additionally, Paul has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities which will help us achieve airport goals.”
Hoback, who holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Geneva College and recently earned Certified Member status with the American Association of Airport Executives, lives in Beaver with his wife, Amy, and son, Canon. He has also served on the Beaver Area School District Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Vanport Township Planning Commission. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Beaver Area Memorial Library and on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (Beaver County Chapter).
