PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PASSENGER TRAFFIC REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2012

PITTSBURGH, PA (April 11, 2012) – Four airlines reported increases in passengers at Pittsburgh International Airport (www.FlyPittsburgh.com) in February 2012 compared to February 2011 according to the February 2012 Scheduled Airline Traffic Report, prepared by the Allegheny County Airport Authority.

A total of 551,231 scheduled passengers were enplaned and deplaned at the airport in February 2012, a 0.4 percent decrease compared to February 2011 (551,231 in February 2012/553,485 in February 2011; 0.4 percent).

Airlines which showed increases in traffic were Delta (93,674/85,308; 9.8 percent), Continental (42,955/33,216; 29.3 percent), American (42,928/34,640; 23.9 percent), and JetBlue (16,859/16,616; 1.5 percent).

Airlines which reported decreases were US Airways (151,758/152,913; 0.8 percent); Southwest (100,332/105,726; 5.1); AirTran (58,359/62,862; 7.2 percent); United (41,819/52,662; 20.6 percent); Air Canada (2,557/2,593; 1.4percent); Frontier (0/2,552; 100 percent), USA 3000 (0/619; 100 percent); and Skywest (0/3,778; 100 percent).
