PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HAS THE TICKET TO YOUR FLIGHTS TO SUPER BOWL XLV
PITTSBURGH, PA (January 28, 2011) – Four airlines have added fights to meet the demand of Pittsburgh Steelers fans heading to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. American (www.aa.com), Delta (www.Delta.com), Southwest (www.Southwest.com) and US Airways (www.USAirways.com) have added flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Dallas in days prior to the February 6, 2011 game. AirTran Airways (www.AirTran.com) has added extra segments also increasing available seats to Dallas through its Atlanta hub.
Seat availability and bookings can be made at each airline’s respective websites. Some flights may already be sold out.
Beginning Friday, February 4, there will be 14 flights heading to Dallas/Fort Worth and Dallas Love Field Airports carrying Steelers fans to the big game. That schedule includes regular service by American Airlines from Pittsburgh to Dallas, as well as five additional flights by the other three airlines. American has also added a flight on Feb. 4. Conceivably, fans could catch a game-day flight from Pittsburgh at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Dallas at 2:35, well ahead of the scheduled 6 p.m. kickoff time.
“We are very happy the airlines are responding to the increased demand created by Steelers fans,” said Bradley D. Penrod, Allegheny County Airport Authority Executive Director and CEO. “It is good for the airlines, the airport, and the regional economy, but especially our community.”
