PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ANNOUNCES “LOVEPORT” FOR VALENTINE’S DAY GREETINGS
- Airport Authority to host welcome table for public to craft custom signs for arriving passengers
PITTSBURGH, PA (February 12, 2014) –If you are picking someone up at Pittsburgh International Airport this Friday, you are invited to create a welcome sign with a personal message to present to your arriving passengers in baggage claim. Friday is Valentine’s Day and also the start of the Presidents’ Day holiday, and the Allegheny County Airport Authority is hosting its first “LovePort” welcome table from Noon to 5 p.m., on Friday, February 14, 2014.
The “LovePort” will be located in the center of baggage claim. Airport ‘meeters and greeters’ can draft Valentine signs to welcome their loved ones to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh International Airport provides the paper and the markers, and Volunteer Ambassadors will be on hand to help visitors create their signs.
Welcome signs will be posted on Pittsburgh International Airport social media feeds (@PITAirport) and can be found by searching #LoveYou.
“The airport is the site of hundreds of special reunions each day,” said Brad Penrod, President and Chief Strategy Officer of the Allegheny County Airport Authority. “Friday’s event will provide a great opportunity for those welcoming a parent, spouse, family member or friend to add a special welcoming touch. So if you’re coming to the airport to greet someone, we have your Valentine’s Day card ready!”
