Airport Authority To Hold Drawing For Archery-Only Hunting Permits Thursday

AIRPORT AUTHORITY TO HOLD DRAWING FOR ARCHERY-ONLY HUNTING PERMITS THURSDAY
FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, PA (September 24, 2013) – The Allegheny County Airport Authority will be conducting a random drawing on Thursday, September 26th at 7:30 PM at the Findlay Township Activity Center to select 157 participants to receive an archery- only hunting permit which allows access to certain areas of the Pittsburgh International Airport property.
The opportunity was offered as a result of conversations with the Allegheny County Airport Authority, Senator Matt Smith, Representative Mark Mustio and Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. The elected officials, as well as representatives of the Airport Authority will be in attendance at the drawing.
The Airport Authority received a total of 2,933 applications for the 157 permits. A random number generator will be used to select the winning numbers. Each applicant has been assigned a number that is posted on the flypittsburgh.com/archery website. The winning numbers will also be posted on this website on Friday, September 27.
Applicants need not be present at the drawing as the permits will not be available for pick-up at that time. All winners will receive an e-mail with instructions regarding how to pick-up their permit beginning on Friday, September 27.
